Stuck inside during quarantine, I needed an outlet to get away from screens, where I had done nearly all my artwork for years. I decided to try out acrylic paint markers, forcing me to work within the constraints of a super limited color palette and without my trusty undo button.

Paint swatch bird paintings
Pick up some paint swatches from the hardware store and put a bird on them. Most of these were commissions with specific species requested, with all sales donated to the American Bird Conservancy.

I was the October featured artist for the Scrawlr art supply subscription box. The supply of the month was YONO paint markers, so I was approached to do the cover for the included zine and dive a bit into my process inside.
